Bodegas Casado Morales Winery is situated just outside of Lapuebla de Labarca. The winery is located in four classic French style buildings and even has a chapel in the honor of St. Bartholomew. Of red color pillory layered very closely - almost impenetrable. Characteristic of the variety, we have a happy wine with a great quickness; with body of a faithful and devastating personality of our grounds. In the nose has a big bang of primary fragrances of mature fruit, grape passes, and spices (paprika) enlarged by the classical tones of Malolactic Fermentation, with memories of a bakery. In the mouth is a greasy, black fruit with sweet tannins due to the high toast of the cask next to the mixture of 6 oak trees: French, American, Hungarian, Rumanian and Chinese.

Casado Morales Selecion Privada is fresh and vibrant. This robust red is a blend of 60% Tempranillo and 40% Graciano grapes. This wine is smoky with attractive dark fruit and some mocha.
On the palate, bramble fruit and black cherry, tobacco and earth. Underbrush and cedar on the finish.
Try it with meat dishes. Great with assortment of cheeses, and as always, the truffle goat cheese does wonders in bringing the fruit forward.

Laderas Sur Tempranillo
Between Lapuebla de Labarca and Assa (Rioja Alavesa). This was our family’s first vineyard, acquired by our great-grandparents, and always maintained in accordance with our philosophy. This wine is not made every year, as the canes are also used for grafting onto new vines from these European rootstocks. Limestone and clay, tawny yellow colour, not rich, loose fine sandy loam. The subsoil consists of layers of white rock with chalky sand and mineral-rich clays.
Destemmed by hand and selected berry by berry. Pre-fermentation cold maceration at 8 degrees C for 6 days. Alcoholic fermentation in 2
small 30 hectolitre stainless-steel vats at 26 degrees C. Punched down 4 times a day for the first 6 days of fermentation and twice daily for a further 5 days. 20 days post-fermentation maceration.
